Golf Events from the Weekend 1st September 2013

It was another awesome weekend on the Major Professional Golf Tours from around the world and this week the USPGA Tour and FedEx Cup headed to Massachusetts for the second playoff event in the 2013 FedEx Cup Playoff Series and only the top 100 players on the FedEx Cup Playoff Points list after The Barclays were eligible to play in it and it was Deutsche Bank Championship and it was played on the TPC Boston, Norton, MA. And the Golfer by the name of Henrik Stenson (Sweden) scored rounds of 67-4, 63-8, 66-5 and a final round of 66-5 for a 72 hole total of 262-22 and he won by two shots for his third win of his USPGA Tour Career to date. He won US $1,440 000 for the win and moved to fifth position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $4,905,963 earned from the 16 events he has played to date this year so far. Tiger Woods (USA) still leads that list with US $8,231,839 earned from the 14 events he has played to date this year so far. Henrik Stenson (Sweden) also earned 2500 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for the win and moved to the top of the FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings with 4051 points earned from the 16 events he has played to date this year so far. He leads Tiger Woods (USA) by 14 points. Tiger Woods (USA) who is currently in second position has earned 4037 points from the 14 events he has played to date this year so far. From the 16 events Henrik Stenson (Sweden) has played to date so far this year he has made 14 cuts and achieved eight top ten finishes that includes the win here.

Henrik Stenson (Sweden) putting during the final round
Henrik Stenson (Sweden) played a brilliant final round of 66-5 which included a front nine of 33-3 which included birdies on the par four, fourth, fifth, sixth holes and the par three, eight hole. He made his lone bogey on the par five, second hole and made the turn at minus twenty and had a two shot lead. Steve Stricker (USA) scored a front nine of 34-2 and made the turn at minus 18 and was two shots behind the leader. Graham DeLaet (Canada) went out in 36 even par and made the turn at minus 16 and was four shots behind the leader. Jordan Spieth (USA) went out in 32-4 and made the turn at minus 12 and was eight shots behind the leader. Sergio Garcia (Spain) who was the 54 hole leader went out in 39+3 and made the turn at minus 16 and was four shots behind the leader.

Henrik Stenson (Sweden) played holes 10 – 14 in one under par and moved to minus twenty one and now was leading by three shots. Steve Stricker (USA) played holes 10 – 14 even par and remained at minus 18 but was now three shots behind the leader. Graham DeLaet (Canada) played holes 10 – 14 in even par and remained at minus 16 and was now five shots behind the leader. Jordan Spieth (USA) played holes 10 – 14 in even par and remained at minus 12 and was now nine shots behind the leader. Sergio Garcia (Spain) played holes 10 -14 in one over par and fell back to minus 15 and was now sixth shots behind the leader.

Henrik Stenson (Sweden) played holes 15 -17 in one under par and moved to minus twenty two with just the par five, 72nd hole to play and still lead by three shots. Steve Stricker (USA) played holes 15 – 17 in one under par and moved to minus 19 and was still three shots behind the leader. Graham DeLaet (Canada) played holes 15 – 17 in one under par and moved to minus 17 and was still five shots behind the leader. Jordan Spieth (USA) played holes 15 – 17 in three under par and moved to minus 15 and was now seven shots behind the leader. Sergio Garcia (Spain) played holes 15 – 17 in one under par and moved to minus 16 and was still six shots behind the leader.

Henrik Stenson (Sweden) holding his son, Karl on the 18th green and they are both holding one finger up because he is Number One on the FedEx Cup list!!
Jordan Spieth (USA) who was playing about two hours ahead of the leaders made a brilliant eagle up the par five, 72nd hole and scored the equal lowest round of the tournament which was 62-9. He finished on minus 17 after 72 holes was five shots behind the winner. He set the club house lead but knew it was never going to hold up. But he had the NBC Sports Commentators suggesting that he would be a good choice for a Captains Pick in the US Presidents Cup team that is announced later in the week. And Dan Hick’s who is NBC Sports Anchor Man in the broadcasting crew who is good friends with the US Presidents Cup Team Captain who is Fred Couples (USA) said that Fred Couples (USA) had asked for Jordan Spieth’s (USA) cellphone number from him. Steve Stricker (USA) who was playing in the group ahead of the final group made a solid birdie up the short par five, 72 hole and finished the 72 holes on minus 20 and finished two shots behind the winner.

Sergio Garcia (Spain) made a solid birdie four up the par five, 72nd hole and finished the 72 holes on minus 17 and he finished five shots behind the winner. He will be extremely disappointed with his final round performance after being in such a great position to win after 54 holes. Graham DeLeat (Canada) made a solid birdie four up the par five, 72nd hole and finished on minus 18 and was four shots behind the winner. Henrik Stenson (Sweden) hit a brilliant drive down the par five, 72nd hole that landed in the centre of the fairway. Then he struck a brilliant long iron second shot that landed on the front of the green leaving a 50 foot eagle putt and he walked up to the green with his caddie knowing there was no way he could lose. He struck his eagle putt a little shy and it came up ten feet short. He was unable to make the birdie putt from ten feet and he tapped in for his par five and scored 33-2 on his back nine and finished with a 72 hole score of 262-22 and he won by two shots. He celebrated by giving his caddie a huge hug and then his wife, Emma and his young son, Karl came onto the 18th green to celebrate the win with him as well.

Henrik Stenson (Sweden) has been playing the USPGA Tour for the past three season’s fulltime after he gained his full USPGA Tour card by winning the 2009 Players Championship. He is having a much better season than his previous two in 2013. He has now won three USPGA Tour events in his career so far to date and they both have been huge tournaments which include the 2007 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, 2009 THE PLAYERS Championship and the Deutsche Bank Championship. I feel he is a good enough player to win a Major Championship and it could happen in the next few years? I also feel he could be a player to watch out for in the FedEx Cup Playoffs now he is at the top of the standings heading into the third playoff event at the BMW Championship in two weeks time. I feel he is playing well enough at the moment to win the FedEx Cup for the 2013 season but he will have to keep playing to his high standards that he has achieved the last couple of months on the USPGA Tour where he has had four top five finishes in his last five starts dating back to the Open Championship in Mid July. I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2013 season.

Henrik Stenson (Sweden) poses with the Deutsche Bank Championship he won!!
Coming in solo second position at 264-20 after 72 holes was Steve Stricker (USA); he won US $864,000.00 for his efforts and moved to eighth position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $3,417,532 earned from the eleven events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 1,500 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points for his efforts and moved to eighth position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings with 2,617 points earned from the eleven events he has played to date this year so far. From the eleven events he has played to date this year so far he has made eleven cuts and achieved six top ten finishes which includes the one here. Steve Stricker (USA) has said this year he is going to play in fewer tournaments because he wants to spend more time with his family. Since first joining the USPGA Tour fulltime in the 1994 season by finishing in tied for 18th position at the 1993 PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament he has earned US $38,497,093 from the 427 events he has played so far in his career to date. He has also won 12 USPGA Tour events and here they are from the first to the most recent: 1996 Kemper Open, Motorola Western Open, 2001 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, 2007 The Barclays, 2009 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, John Deere Classic, Deutsche Bank Championship, 2010 Northern Trust Open, John Deere Classic, 2011 the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance, John Deere Classic, 2012 Hyundai Tournament of Champions. I feel his thirteenth win on the USPGA Tour can’t be too far away and maybe it will happen in one of the final two FedEx Cup Playoff Series events? Maybe he could even win the 2013 FedEx Cup? It is amazing the standard of golf he has achieved this year from the very few events he has played in. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins a Major Championship in the near future. I wish him all the best for the rest 2013 season.

Coming in solo third position at 266-18 after 72 holes was Graham DeLaet (Canada); he earned US $544,000.00 for his efforts and moved to 16th position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $2,649,300 earned from the twenty four events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 1000 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points for his efforts and moved to fifth position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points standings list with 2,806 points earned from the twenty four events he has played to date this year so far. From the twenty four events he has played to date this year so far he has made 19 cuts and achieved seven top ten finishes that includes the one here. He has been playing on the USPGA Tour full time since the 2010 season after gaining his card at the 2009 PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament where he finished in tied for eighth position. In his rookie season on the USPGA Tour in 2010 he had a very good season and earned just under one million US dollars and easily kept his card for the 2011 season. In his second full season on the USPGA Tour in 2011 season he sat out the majority of the campaign due to a back injury and played the 2012 season out of the Major Medical Extension category, where he had 26 events to earn $657,694 in 2012 season. In the 2012 season which was his third full season on the USPGA Tour he earned just over a million US Dollars and easily made the US $657,694 he required to keep his card for the 2013 season. He has already won more money this year than he had in his previous three seasons at the same stage. I feel his maiden win on the USPGA Tour isn’t too far away and maybe it will happen in the 2013 season, and perhaps now he is a real contender to win the FedEx Cup? and if he can stay inside the top five on the FedEx Cup Playoffs list after the BMW Championship he will control his own destiny at the FedEx Cup Playoffs Final event which is the Tour Championship by Coca – Cola because if he wins the final event he will win the 2013 FedEx Cup. I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2013 season.

Coming in tied for fourth position on 267-17 after 72 holes was Jordan Spieth (USA); he earned US $315,000.00 for his efforts and moved to 13th position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $3,039,820 earned from the twenty one events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 563 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to tenth position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Points list standings with 2,246 points earned from the twenty one events he has played to date this year so far. From the twenty one events he has played to date this year so far he has made 16 cuts and achieved eight top ten finishes which includes the one here and his maiden win at the John Deere Classic in mid July. Jordan Spieth (USA) made people really take notice of him in his first ever USPGA Tour event he played as a 16 year old Amateur at the 2010 HP Byron Nelson Championship where he scored rounds of 68-2, 69-1, 67-3 and a final round of 72+2 for a 72 hole total of 276-4 and he tied for 16th position while still attending the University of Texas. In the 2011 HP Byron Nelson Championship he played in it again as a 17 year old Amateur and this time he scored rounds of 69-1, 68-2, 72+2 and a 77+7 which was played in extremely windy conditions for a 72 hole total of 286+6 and he tied for 32nd position. In 2012 he played in five more USPGA Tour events as an Amateur and made the cut in three of them with his best finish being tied for 21st at the 112th US Open Championship and he also achieved low Amateur Honours. He decided to turn professional in December of 2012 in the midst of his sophomore year at the University of Texas. That win also earned him the last invitation into The Open Championship in Muirfield, Scotland, that week. He joined 27 other players on the John Deere Classic's chartered jet from Moline, Ill., to Scotland. He also is now exempt on the USPGA Tour till the end of the 2015 season and he also gains starts in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at the beginning of the 2014 season and the Masters Tournament next April. He also must now be a genuine contender for the rookie of the year award along with Patrick Reed (USA) and how they play in the FedEx Cup playoffs I feel will determine who wins that. And I also feel he has an outside chance of getting selected as a Captains pick for the US Presidents Cup Team in early October. He currently lies in 22nd position on the US Presidents Cup point’s list standings and as I mentioned earlier his name has been mentioned recently as a potential Presidents Cup Captains Pick. He will find out on Wednesday if it becomes a reality. He must also be a genuine threat to win the 2013 FedEx Cup if he can play awesome golf in the final two events? He is just an Amazing talent and now he has got his maiden USPGA Tour win I feel he can only go from strength to strength. He is sure to be a Superstar in World Golf for many years to come. I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2013 season.

Also tied for fourth position was Matt Kuchar (USA); he too earned US $315,000.00 for his efforts and moved to second position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $5,415,008 earned from the twenty one events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 563 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to fourth position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points standings list with 3,103 points earned from the twenty one events he has played to date this year so far. From the twenty one events he has played to date this year so far he has made twenty one cuts and achieved eight top ten finishes that includes the one here and also his two wins with the first coming at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship in late February and the second at the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance in early June. Matt Kuchar (USA) has now won six times on the USPGA Tour and here they are from his first to the most recent: 2002 The Honda Classic, 2009 Turning Stone Resort Championship, 2010 The Barclays, 2012 THE PLAYERS Championship, 2013 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship and the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance. Matt Kuchar (USA) has been playing on the USPGA Tour full time on and off since the 2002 season and has easily kept his card for the next season every season since except for the 2005 season. He spent the 2006 season on the Web.com Tour and earned his 2007 USPGA Tour card back by earning US $300,867 from the 21 events he played in and finished in tenth position on the final 2006 Web.com Tour Money list standings. Since 2007 he has had huge success on the USPGA Tour and his current all time USPGA Tour earnings are US $26,214,227 earned from 299 events he has played to date so far in his career. The next step for him would be to win a Major Championship and maybe it will happen in the next few years? The year would be even better for him if he was able to win the 2013 FedEx Cup, and at the moment he is in great position to do so heading into the final two FedEx Cup Playoff Events. I wish him all the best with for the rest of the 2013 season.

Also tied for fourth position was Kevin Stadler (USA); he too earned US $315,000.00 for his efforts and moved to 68th position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $1,238,910 earned from the twenty four events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 563 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to 32nd position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings with 1,235 points earned from the twenty four events he has played to date this year so far. From those twenty four events he has played to date this year so far he has made 16 cuts and achieved three top ten finishes including the one here. Also this finish this past week got him in to the third FedEx Cup Playoff Event in two weeks time at the BMW Championship because heading into the Deutsche Bank Championship he was outside the top seventy in 75th position on the list. He has been playing on the USPGA Tour fulltime for the past six seasons and is still yet to achieve his maiden USPGA Tour win. Perhaps it will happen in the final two 2013 FedEx Cup Playoff Events?

The final player to tie for fourth position was Sergio Garcia (Spain); he too earned US $315,000.00 for his efforts and moved to 31st position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $1,919,085 earned from the 15 events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 563 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to twenty fourth position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings with 1,409 points earned from the 15 events he has played to date this year so far. From the 15 events he has played to date this year so far he has made 15 cuts and withdrawn from one, and he also has achieved five top ten finishes that includes the one here. He will be very disappointed with this result after he took a two shot lead into the final round. He has been playing on the USPGA Tour fulltime since the 2000 season and in the time he has easily kept his card for the next year every season since and he has achieved eight wins on the USPGA Tour in his career so far and here they are from the first to the most recent: 2001 MasterCard Colonial, Buick Classic 2002 Mercedes Championships, 2004 EDS Byron Nelson Championship, Buick Classic, 2005 Booz Allen Classic. 2008 THE PLAYERS Championship and the 2012 Wyndham Championship. I feel his ninth win isn’t too far off and maybe it could be his maiden Major Championship but he will have to wait till 2014 for that now. Perhaps he could win one of the final two 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Events or maybe even the 2013 FedEx Cup? I wish him all the best for the two remaining events.

Coming in solo eight position on 268-16 after 72 holes was Brian Davies (England); he earned US $248,000.00 for his efforts and moved to 71st position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $1,179,257 earned from the twenty seven events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 425 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to 49th position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings with 1,047 points earned from the twenty seven events he has played to date this year so far. From the twenty seven events he has played to date this year so far he has made 16 cuts, withdrawn from one and he has also achieved four top ten finishes that includes the one here. He also will be very pleased with this finish because before the Deutsche Bank Championship he was sitting in 80th position on the FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings. Prior to this finish he had also missed his last four straight cuts. He has made over one million US dollars the previous six season he has played on the USPGA Tour. He will always be remembered for calling a penalty on himself on the first playoff hole in the 2010 Verizon Heritage against Jim Furyk (USA). His second shot landed in the hazard to the left of the par four, 18th green. He choose to play his third shot from there and on his back swing he touched a reed and called a one stroke penalty on himself. It shows the honesty of USPGA Tour players. He went on to lose the playoff. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he won his maiden USPGA Event during the 2013 season and perhaps it could happen at one of the two final FedEx Cup Playoffs events?

Rounding out the top ten in tied for ninth position on 269-15 after 72 holes was Brendon de Jonge (Zimbabwe); he earned US $208,000.00 for efforts and moved to 54th position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $1,532,524 earned from the twenty eight events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 363 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to 26th position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings with 1,379 points earned from the twenty eight events he has played to date this year so far. From the twenty eight events he has played to date this year so far he has made twenty three cuts and achieved four top ten finishes that includes the one here. In his previous three seasons on the USPGA Tour he has earned at least US one million dollars. He is still yet to win his maiden USPGA Tour event. I feel it may just happen in the 2013 season and perhaps even it could be one of the final two FedEx Cup Playoff Events? He is also an outside chance to gain a Captains Pick for the International Presidents Cup Team as Nick Price (Zimbabwe) is the International Team Captain this time? I wish him all the best for the remaining two FedEx Cup Playoff Events in the 2013 season.

Also tied for ninth position was Ian Poulter (England); he also earned US $208,000.00 for efforts and moved to 43rd position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $1,698,599 earned from the 15 events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 363 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to 52nd position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings with 1,008 points earned from the 15 events he has played to date this year so far. From the 15 events he has played to date this year so far he has made 12 cuts and achieved four top ten finishes that includes the one here. He also will be very pleased with this finish because before the Deutsche Bank Championship he was sitting in 77th position on the FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings. He has been playing the USPGA Tour Fulltime since the 2005 season and has easily kept his card from the next year every season since. He has current career earnings of US $14,319,233 earned from the 163 events he has played in his USPGA Tour career to date so far. He has also won two USPGA Tour events in his career so far and they were the 2010 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship and the 2012 World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions. I feel he is going to win his maiden Major Championship very soon, and maybe it will happen at the 2014 Masters Tournament next April? He will need another good finish in the BMW Championship which is the third FedEx Cup Playoff Event if he is going to make it in to the Top 30 players on the FedEx Cup Playoffs Points Standings list that make it in to the Tour Championship by Coca – Cola the following week. I wish him all the best with the remaining events he plays in the 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs season.

Also tied for ninth position was Jason Dufner (USA); he also earned US $208,000.00 for efforts and moved to 15th position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $2,886,134 earned from the twenty events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 363 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to 13th position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings with 1,781 points earned from the twenty events he has played to date this year so far. From the twenty events he has played to date this year so far he has made 17 cuts and achieved four top ten finishes which includes the one here and also his maiden Major Championship at the 95th PGA Championship in August. Jason Dufner (USA) has been playing on the USPGA Tour fulltime for the last six seasons and has easily kept his card every year for the next year every year except one. In that time he has achieved three wins with the Maiden win coming at the 2012 Zurich Classic of New Orleans and his second win coming a few weeks later at the HP Byron Nelson Championship and the third one was of course the 95th PGA Championship this past week which was his maiden Major Championship. Now he has won his Maiden Major Championship I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins another one in the next few years. His awesome ball striking and the fact that nothing really annoys him on the golf course really helps him to perform well under the intense pressure that Major Championship Golf puts on players. He now has career earnings on USPGA Tour of US $15,332,143 earned from the 195 events he has played to date so far in his career. I wish him all the best for the remaining events two events in the 2013 FedEx Cup Playoff Series and perhaps if everything goes right for him he could win the 2013 FedEx Cup? I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2013 season.

The final player to tie for ninth position was Roberto Castro (USA); he also earned US $208,000.00 for efforts and moved to 38th position on the current 2013 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $1,783,164 earned from the twenty seven events he has played to date this year so far. He also earned 363 FedEx Cup Playoff Points for his efforts and moved to twenty fifth position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points standings list with 1,398 points earned from the twenty seven events he has played to date this year so far. From the twenty seven events he has played to date this year so far he has made 17 cuts and achieved three top ten finishes that includes the one here. He has been playing on the USPGA Tour fulltime since the 2012 season after gaining his card by finishing in tied for 13th position at the 2011 PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament. His rookie year on the USPGA Tour in 2012 was good with him making 19 cuts from the 27 events he entered and he also achieved his first top ten finish at the Greenbrier Classic in early July. He earned US $755,095 and finished in 118th position on the final 2012 USPGA Tour Money list standings and easily kept his card for the 2013 season. Now he has secured his card for the 2013/14 USPGA Tour season, he can now focus on winning his maiden USPGA Tour event. Maybe it will happen in the 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Series in the final two events? I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2013 season.

There was a tournament within a tournament this week because it was the second event in the 2013 FedEx Cup Playoff Series and the last golfer to qualify for the third playoff event which is the BMW Championship in two weeks time was Ernie Els (RSA) who finished in the vital 70th position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoff Series points list after Deutsche Bank Championship with 823 FedEx Cup Playoff  points earned from the 18 events he has played so far this year and he advances to the BMW Championship in two weeks time which is the third FedEx Cup playoff event. He will be very pleased that he was the last player to advance after he was able to get up and down at the par five, 18th hole for his par five, and he was on  the same points as Ryan Palmer (USA) who was the unlucky golfer who finished in 71st position on the current 2013 FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list with 823 FedEx Cup Playoff  points earned from the twenty two events he played in this year but because Ernie Els (RSA) was half a point ahead of Ryan Palmer (USA) and that means his 2013 FedEx Cup Playoff Series is now over for him and he will be disappointed because he missed the 36 hole halfway cut by a single shot and had if he made the cut he would  have more than likely made it inside the top 70 and advanced because he was lying in 60th position on the FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list after the first playoff event which was The Barclays. But he is just like the rest of the players below him on the list who also missed out on the third FedEx Cup Playoff event.

Next week the USPGA Tour and FedEx Cup Playoff Series takes a week off and recommences the following week at the BMW Championship and it is played on the Conway Farms GC, Lake Forest, IL. It carries a huge prize purse of US $8,000,000 for the taking. Rory McILroy (NIR) is the defending Champion and will be keen for back to back titles. There is also a tournament within a tournament with only the top 30 players on the FedEx Cup Playoffs Points list standings at the conclusion of this third playoff event advancing to the final playoff event the following week which is the Tour Championship by Coca - Cola. The BMW Championship starts on Thursday 12th September and I will report back who won the trophy next week.

So to the Top 5 on the Official World Golf Rankings Points list this week and coming in at Number One Position for the 647th week of his career in total is Tiger Woods (USA) who is fresh off his tied for second position at The Barclays a week ago with 14.18 Official Golf World Ranking Points; coming in at Number Two is Adam Scott (Australia) who won his maiden Major Championship at the Masters Tournament over four months ago and also winning The Barclays a week ago with 9.36 Official Golf World Ranking Points; coming in at Number Three is Phil Mickelson (USA) who is fresh off his Open Championship win over a month ago with 8.59 Official Golf World Ranking Points; coming in at Number Four is Justin Rose (England) who is fresh off his maiden Major Championship win at the 113th US Open Championship over two months ago and also tying for second position at The Barclays a week ago with 7.88 Official Golf World Ranking Points and rounding out the top 5 on the Official Golf World Ranking Points list this week is Rory McILroy (NIR) who is fresh off his tied for eighth position at the 95th PGA Championship three weeks ago with 7.87 Official Golf World Ranking Points. Michael Hendry (NZL) fresh off  his tie for 10th position at the Vana H Cup KBC Augusta on the Japan Golf Tour this past week  is the highest ranked New Zealander Golfer in the world for the Thirtieth straight week of his career. This week he gains five places and rises to 187th position on the Official World Golf Rankings Points list with 0.98 Official Golf World Ranking Points.

Remember set up is 90% of good shot making!!
