Thames Golf Club News 22nd May 2012

Thames Golf Club – Saturday Scramble
27 players played in the scramble in conjunction with the second round 4BBB Matches on Saturday 19th May. The course was wet under foot from the recent heavy rains and there was a moderate westerly wind blowing. But the greens were rolling well. Keith Williams found them to his liking scoring 81 off his 18 handicap and returned a 63 nett to win the Scramble on the day on count back. Hayden Thomas returned the best gross round of the day which was 74.

Men’s: Keith Williams 63, Craig Bradley 63, Stuart Bell 64, Doug Madgwick 64, Stan Kendall 65, Neil Hall 65, Mark Browne 67, Tasi Rae 67, Murray Newby 69, Gordon Lindsay 70, Bill Rendall 70, Gary Webber 70 and Hayden Thomas 70.
Two’s: There were none.
Hidden Holes: Keith Williams and Craig Bradley shared the cash with 11 points.

There was one first round 4BBB game played, Bob Carr/Stan Kendall defeated John Farquhar/Tom Handley; and there was also a quarter final game played where Ian Fielder/Mark Browne defeated Murray Newby/Herb Mabey.
Next Saturday (26th May) is the Browns 100% Trophy on nett in conjunction with the usual scramble.
