Well it was another amazing weekend on the Major
Professional Golf Tours from around the world and this week the USPGA Tour and
FedEx Cup headed to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the first event of two in the
only Asian Swing on the USPGA Tour for the 2015/16 season and it was the CIMB
Classic and it was played on the Kuala Lumpur G&CC, Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia. It carried a huge prize purse of US $7,000,000 for the
taking. Ryan Moore (USA) was the two time defending champion and was keen to
make it three wins in a row. Danny Lee (NZL) was making his first appearance of
the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and it was the golfer by the name of Justin
Thomas (USA) who scored rounds of 68-4, 61-11, 67-5 and a final round of 66-6
for a seventy two hole total of 262-26 and he won by a single shot for his
maiden USPGA Tour victory of his career. He won US $1,260,000 for his efforts and
moved to the top of the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US
$1,572,000 earned from the two events he has played to date this season so far.
Kevin Na (USA) is second on that list with US $1,409,733 earned from the three
events he has played to date this season so far. Justin Thomas (USA) also
earned 500 FedEx Cup Points for the win and moved to the top of the current
2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings with 645 points earned from the two
events he has played to date this season so far and he leads by twenty eight
points over Kevin Na (USA) who is in second place with 617 points earned from
the three events he has played to date this season so far. From the two events Justin
Thomas (USA) has played to date this season so far he has made two cuts and
achieved two top ten finishes which includes the win this past week. He will be
happy with his four rounds this week that were all in the 60s especially his
61-11 in the second round which was the low round of the day and the
tournament!! And also he will be especially happy with how he came back with
three consecutive birdies after making a poor double bogey six on the par four,
fourteenth hole after he hit his second shot fat and into the water!!
Justin Thomas (USA) played a brilliant final round
of 66-6 under the circumstances of being in contention after 54 holes. And it
included a good front nine of 34-2 with birdies on the par five, fifth hole and
par three, eighth hole and he made the turn at minus twenty two and was one
shot behind the leader. Adam Scott (Australia) went out in a brilliant 31-5 and
made the turn at minus twenty one and was two shots behind the leader. Kevin Na
(USA) went out in a brilliant 32-4 and made the turn at minus twenty three and
was leading by a single shot. Brendan Steele (USA) went out in a good 34-2 and
made the turn at minus twenty two and was one shot behind the leader.
Justin Thomas (USA) played holes ten to fourteen in
one under par and that included making a brilliant eagle three on the par five,
tenth hole and a birdie on the par four, thirteenth hole but he suffered a
shocking double bogey six on the par four, fourteenth hole where he hit his
second shot fat into the water and he moved to minus twenty three and was still
one shot behind the leader. Adam Scott (Australia) played holes ten to fourteen
in three under par with birdies on the par five, tenth hole, par four,
thirteenth hole and par four, fourteenth hole and he moved to minus twenty four
and was tied for the lead. Kevin Na (USA) played holes ten to fourteen in one
under par and that included making a birdie on the par five, tenth hole and he moved
to minus twenty four and was now tied for the lead. Brendan Steele (USA) played
holes ten to fourteen in one under par and that included birding the par five,
tenth hole and he moved to minus twenty three and was still one shot behind the
leader.
Justin Thomas (USA) played holes fifteen to
seventeen in three under par and that included making three straight birdies in
a row on the par three, fifteenth hole, par four, sixteenth hole and par four,
seventeenth hole and he moved to minus twenty six and was now leading by two
shots heading to the par five, seventy second hole. Adam Scott (Australia)
played holes fifteen to seventeen in even par which included making three
straight pars and he remained at minus twenty four but now was two shots behind
the leader heading to the par five, seventy second hole. Kevin Na (USA) played
holes fifteen to seventeen in even par and remained at minus twenty four and
was now two shots behind the leader heading to the par five, seventy second
hole. Brendan Steele (USA) played holes fifteen to seventeen in even par which
included making three straight pars and he remained at minus twenty three and
was now three shots behind the leader heading to the par five, seventy second
hole.
Adam Scott (Australia) who was playing a few groups
ahead of the leaders made a birdie at the par five, seventy second hole where
he hit the green in two shots with a driver and a mid iron and two putted and
he finished the seventy two holes at minus twenty five to finish one shot
behind the winner. Kevin Na (USA) who was playing in the final group in a strange
move decided to hit three wood off the par five, seventy second tee meaning he
would have no chance of hitting the green in two shots to make an eagle to
force a playoff with Justin Thomas (USA). He ended up making a solid par and
finished the seventy two holes at minus twenty four and was two shots behind
the winner. Brendan Steele (USA) who was also playing in the final group made a
birdie at the par five, seventy second hole and finished the seventy two holes
at minus twenty four and finished two shots behind the winner. Justin Thomas
(USA) now stood on the par four, seventy second tee with a one shot lead and
knew a par was all he needed to win his maiden USPGA Tour event. He hit another
one of his booming drives down the right centre of the fairway. He had to wait
a long time for the green to clear then he hit his three wood for his second
shot and came out of it slightly to the right and it landed in the right hand
green side bunker. He then played a chunk and run style shot from the bunker
which came to rest twenty feet short of the flag stick and his maiden USPGA
Tournament win was only two putts away. He struck his first putt from twenty feet
way too hard and rolled it five feet past the cup leaving a nervy putt for his
par and the win!! He took some deep breathes and then struck a brilliant putt
that rolled right in the centre of the cup for his par and he finished the
seventy two holes on minus twenty six to win by two shots and he scored 32-4 on
the back nine!! He then got a huge high five and hug from his caddie, Jason
Shortall (USA)!!
Then he was interviewed by golf channel reporter, Arron
Oberholser and he said to Justin “Justin, what a finish, the one thing I have
got to ask you about on fourteen when you made the double bogey, how were you
able to regroup ah from that potential disaster?” And Justin replied “Ah, the
thing I told myself is that I really didn’t do it because I was nervous it felt
like, I have been struggling off those downhill lies and that is what I have
been doing I have been chunking it, and unfortunately I had a big body of water
in front of the green, but I just kept telling myself you know I controlled the
tournament before that shot, so I just need to get back in it and I had four
more holes to try and make some birdies and was fortunate enough to do it”.
Then golf channel reporter, Arron Oberholser said to Justin “Talk to me about
the burden of expectation and how hard this has been to get you first win knowing
all the expectations that the media and everybody else has put on you?” Then Justin replied “Well it is a lot harder
when you run twenty footers about five feet past the hole, but no ah, yeah it
is tough, I think, what I just kept telling myself that it’s tough to win … you
know look at guys like Rickie (Fowler )
(USA) I he’s ah he’s done pretty well for himself and took him a while to win
too, I understand we’re in a sport where your winning percentage isn’t in your favour,
and I put myself there a bunch and I just need to keep doing so and um and
moments like this can happen.” Then golf channel reporter, Arron Oberholser
said to Justin “Well this is the first of many, thanks a lot Justin, Appreciate
it” And Justin replied “Appreciate it”.
Justin Thomas
(USA) (born April 29, 1993) is an American professional golfer. Justin Thomas
was born in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from St. Xavier High School in
2011. He played college golf at the University of Alabama where he won six
times. He also played on the 2013 NCAA Division I Championship team. He won the
Haskins Award in 2012 as the most outstanding collegiate golfer. As an amateur,
Justin Thomas (USA) played in the 2009 Wyndham Championship on the USPGA Tour
where he became the third youngest golfer to make the cut in a USPGA Tour
event, aged 16 years, 3 months and 24 days. Justin Thomas (USA) turned
professional in 2013 and earned his tour card on the Web.com Tour through
qualifying school. He won his first professional event at the 2014 Nationwide
Children's Hospital Championship. He has played several USPGA Tour events with
his best finish a tied for fourth at the 2015 Quicken Loans National. Justin Thomas
(USA) finished fifth in the 2014 Web.com Tour regular season, and third after
the Web.com Tour Finals, to earn his USPGA Tour card for the 2014–15 season. In
2015, Justin Thomas (USA) collected seven top-10s and 15 top-25s, with fourth
places finishes at the Quicken Loans National and Sanderson Farms Championship
as best results. He finished 32nd at the USPGA Tour's FedEx Cup, losing the
Rookie of the Year award to Daniel Berger (USA). On November 1, 2015, Justin Thomas
(USA) earned his first victory on the USPGA Tour by winning the CIMB Classic by
a single stroke (As I mentioned above). His best finish to date in the two
Major Championships he has played has been tied for eighteenth at the 2015 PGA
Championship. His future in the game looks very bright and now he has achieved
his maiden USPGA Tour win the flood gates could really open up for him!! I wish
him every continuing success for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season.
Coming in solo second position at 263-25 after
seventy two holes was Adam Scott (Australia); he earned US $756,000 for his
efforts and moved to fifth position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money
list standings with US $756,000 earned from the one event he has played to date
this season so far. He also earned 300 FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and
moved to fifth position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings
with 300 points earned from the one event he has played to date this season so
far. From the one event he has played to date this season so far he has made
one cut and achieved one top ten finish that came this past week. He will be
happy with his four rounds this week that were all in the 60s especially his
final round 63-9 which was the low round of the day by two shots and it was
blemish free and included seven birdies and one eagle!! And he will be happy he
had such a high finish using his conventional putter to get ready for the
change in 2016 and it proves to himself he can still compete without the broom
stick putter that he has had success with over the last few years!! Adam Derek Scott (Australia) (born 16
July 1980) is an Australian professional golfer who plays mainly on the USPGA
Tour. He was the World No. 1 ranked golfer, from mid-May to August 2014. He
has won 27 professional tournaments around the world (3 being unofficial money
events), on many of golf's major tours. His biggest win to date is so far the
2013 Masters Tournament, his first major championship and the first Masters won
by an Australian in its 77-year history. Other significant wins
include the 2004 Players Championship and the 2011 WGC-Bridgestone
Invitational. He was the runner-up in the 2012 Open Championship, leading by
four strokes with four holes to play before bogeying all of them to lose the
title by a stroke to Ernie Els (RSA). Adam Scott (Australia) was born in Adelaide,
South Australia and moved with his family at the age of nine to the Sunshine
Coast, Queensland where he attended Matthew Flinders Anglican College. They
then settled on the Gold Coast, Queensland in 1993. Initially at The Southport
School, an Anglican boys' school on the Gold Coast, he completed his high
school education at The Kooralbyn International School, also on the Gold Coast,
where he undertook extra subjects in golf. He was a member of the Golf
Australia National Squad. He later attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
(UNLV), where he was initiated into the Sigma Chi fraternity. In April 2014, Adam
Scott (Australia) married Marie Kojzar, a Swedish architect, in a small
ceremony in the Bahamas. Adam Scott (Australia) and Kojzar had previously been
in a long-term relationship in the early to mid 2000s, before splitting up and
then reuniting in 2013. In February 2015 the couple announced the
arrival of their daughter, Bo Vera Scott, who was born at Pindara Private
Hospital in Queensland, Australia. He had previously been in a relationship
with former tennis World No. 1 Ana Ivanovic in 2010. They separated in
September of that year. The pair reunited in 2011, before splitting
up one year later. Adam Scott (Australia) is the touring professional at The
Palms Golf Course Sanctuary Cove, where he resides while in Australia, located
on the Gold Coast, Queensland. For tax purposes, Adam Scott (Australia) is
resident in Switzerland. Adam Scott (Australia) is also an avid
surfer.
Adam Scott (Australia) has represented Australia in the World Cup in 2001, 2002 and 2013 and was a member of the International Team at the Presidents Cup in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015. Despite making seven appearances on the International team, he has yet to play on a winning team. He has won eleven USPGA Tour events to date so far with his most recent being at the 2014 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. He has also won nine European Tour events with his most recent one being the 2013 Masters Tournament. He has also won five PGA Tour of Australasia events with his most recent being the 2013 Talisker Masters. He has also achieved fifteen top ten finishes in Major Championships to date so far with his best result winning the 2013 Masters Tournament. He has also achieved thirteen top ten finishes in WGC – Events with his best finish winning the 2011 WGC – Bridgestone Invitational. Let’s hope he can keep this form up for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and perhaps win his second Major Championship? I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season.
Coming in tied for third position at 264-24 after 72
holes was Kevin Na (USA); he earned US $406,000 for his efforts and moved to
second position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $1,409,733
earned from the three events he has played to date this season so far. He also
earned 163 FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and moved to second position on the
current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings with 617 points earned from the
three events he has played to date this season so far. From the three events he
has played to date this season so far he has made three cuts and achieved three
top ten finishes which includes the one this week. He will be happy with his
four rounds this week that were all in the 60s especially his 64-8 in the third
round which was the equal low round of the day. But he will be disappointed
with his last eight holes in the final round because he made eight pars and had
he made a couple of birdies he could have got in a playoff. But he played
awesome golf this week with making one eagle, twenty four birdies and two
bogeys!! And in the first three events to start the season he has had a great
chance to win all three tournaments but failed to win any!! And his decision to
hit three wood off the par five, seventy second tee would have to be questioned
as I mentioned above. But on the other hand he has had a great start to the
season and you would have to think he would win his second USPGA Tour event
soon? Kevin Sangwook Na (USA) (born
September 15, 1983) is a Korean American professional golfer currently playing
on the USPGA Tour. Born in Seoul, South Korea. Kevin Na (USA) emigrated with
his family to the United States when he was eight years old, settling in
southern California. He left Diamond Bar High School after his junior year to
play professional golf at age seventeen. Kevin Na (USA) has played on the Asian
Tour (with a win at the 2002 Volvo Masters of Asia), European Tour and USPGA
Tour. Kevin Na (USA) got his USPGA Tour card for the 2004 season. He finished
third at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic and fourth at the Honda Classic. In
2005 he finished second at the FBR Open and Chrysler Classic of Tucson. He
missed six months with a hand injury in 2006. In his first start back, a rehab
start on the Nationwide Tour, he won the Mark Christopher Charity Classic.
Kevin Na (USA) played on the USPGA Tour in 2007 via a medical extension,
and finished fourth at the Verizon Heritage.
In 2008 he was fourth at the FBR
Open and Sony Open in Hawaii. He finished third at the 2009 Players
Championship and the FBR Open, fifth at the Sony Open in Hawaii, Mayakoba Golf
Classic and Reno-Tahoe Open. With nine top-10 finishes and 14 top-25 finishes,
he ranked in nineteenth place on the money list, securing his entry to the Masters
Tournament and the U.S. Open in 2010 for the first time. In the 2010 season,
Kevin Na (USA) finished second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and third at
the BMW Championship. He placed 37th in season earnings.
In February 2011, Kevin Na (USA) was in contention
to win his first USPGA Tour title at the Northern Trust Open. He entered the
final round in a tie for second at −9, one stroke behind Aaron Baddeley
(Australia). However a run of four bogeys in the first ten holes ended Kevin Na's
(USA) chances of victory. He would eventually fight back on the back nine and a
vital birdie on the par-five 17th sealed a third place finish, behind eventual
winner Aaron Baddeley (Australia) and Vijay Singh (Fiji). On April 14, 2011, Kevin
Na (USA) played the worst ever par four hole on the USPGA Tour since the tour
began recording hole-by-hole scores in 1983, making a 16 on the ninth hole at
the Valero Texas Open. Kevin Na (USA) needed extra shots after an unplayable
lie from his tee shot and was then given a two-stroke penalty after his ball
hit a tree and rebounded back onto him. It was initially scored as a 15 but
changed to 16 on review. Kevin Na (USA) ended up shooting an eight-over-par
round of 80, which saw him shoot four-under for his other 17 holes. In August
2011, Kevin Na (USA) finished tenth at the PGA Championship with a 72-69-70-67
score card. He also finished fifth at the Bob Hope Classic and Wells Fargo
Championship. On October 1, 2011, Kevin Na (USA) apparently whiffed his tee
shot on the par-4 15th hole in the third round of the Justin Timberlake
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, missing
high and to the outside of the ball. Tour officials, though, ruled Kevin Na
(USA) was not intending to hit the ball and did not count the swing as a
stroke, and Kevin Na (USA) finished with a 5-under 66 to remain tied for the
tournament lead. The following day, Kevin Na (USA) earned his first USPGA Tour
victory at the 211th attempt, having been on tour for eight years. He shot a
final round 65 with birdies at 15, 16 and 17 to win by two strokes from Nick
Watney (USA) and earn US $792,000 in prize money. Kevin Na (USA) also broke the
tournament scoring record of 21-under par when he finished the week at 23-under
par. This victory earned Kevin Na (USA) a two year exemption on tour. He ranked
30th in season earnings. During the 2012 PGA Tour season, Kevin Na (South
Korea) finished fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, fifth at the Phoenix
Open and AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, seventh at the Players
Championship and twelfth at Masters Tournament.
A back injury limited Kevin Na (USA) to eight starts
in early 2013. After rehabbing, he made a comeback in October in his first USPGA
Tour start since April with a third place finish at the Frys.com Open. Kevin Na
(USA) was given 18 starts on a medical extension, but needed only seven to
remain on the USPGA Tour. In 2014 he finished second at the Memorial Tournament
and Valspar Championship, third at the Frys.com Open, fourth at the AT&T
Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, ninth at The Barclays and twelfth at the U.S.
Open. He finished twentieth in season earnings. Kevin Na (USA) lost in a
sudden-death playoff to Emiliano Grillo (Argentina) at the 2015/16 PGA Tour
season opening Frys.com Open. After both players finished at 15-under-par,
Emiliano Grillo (Argentina) won the event with a birdie on the second extra
hole. Kevin Na (USA) hit his second shot to the par-five 18th off-line and was
trapped behind a tree, which resulted in a bogey. This allowed Emiliano Grillo (Argentina)
to two-putt out for the victory. Kevin Na (USA) is now 0 for 3 in USPGA Tour
sudden-death playoffs. Kevin Na (USA) is a naturalized American citizen, and
lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has also achieved one top ten finish
in a major championship that came at the 2011 PGA Championship where he tied
for tenth. Let’s hope he can continue on this form for the rest of the 2015/16
USPGA Tour season and achieve his second win. I wish him all the best for the
rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup.
Also tied for third position was Brendan Steele
(USA); he also earned US $406,000 for his efforts and moved to eighth position
on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $479,333 earned
from the three events he has played to date this season so far. He also earned
163 FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and moved to eighth position on the current
2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings with 213 points earned from the three
events he has played to date this season so far. From the three events he has
played to date this season so far he has made two cuts and achieved one top ten
finish that came this past week. He will be happy with his four rounds this
week that were all in the 60s especially his 63-9 in the second round that was
blemish free and included seven birdies and one eagle!! And the final 54 holes
he played were blemish free and included one eagle and seventeen birdies!! But
he would be just a little disappointed he wasn’t able to make a couple more
birdies in the final round to force a playoff with Justin Thomas (USA). But on
the other hand he will be happy with his good start to the season so far. Brendan Steele (USA) (born April 5,
1983) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the USPGA Tour.
Brendan Steele (USA) was born in Idyllwild, California. He played college golf
at the University of California, Riverside, graduating in 2005. Brendan
Steele (USA) turned professional in 2005 and played on the Golden State Tour,
winning four times. In 2006 and 2007, he played on the Canadian
Tour, where his best finish was second at the 2006 Telus Edmonton Open. He
began playing on the Nationwide Tour in 2008. In 2010, he won the final event
of the season, the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island. This win
moved him from 30th to 6th on the money list and therefore earned Brendan Steele
(USA) a USPGA Tour card for the 2011 season. On April 17, 2011, Brendan
Steele (USA) won his first USPGA Tour event, the Valero Texas Open, by one
stroke over Kevin Chappell (USA) and Charley Hoffman (USA) when he
holed a seven foot par putt on the seventy second hole. Brendan Steele (USA)
was the third USPGA Tour rookie to win in 2011, after Jhonattan Vegas
(Columbia) (Bob Hope Classic) and Charl Schwartzel (RSA) (Masters Tournament).
In addition to a US $1.1 million payday and a Tour card until the end of 2013, Brendan
Steele's (USA) victory earned invites to The Players Championship, WGC - Bridgestone
Invitational, 2011 PGA Championship, and the 2012 Masters Tournament. The win
also moved Brendan Steele (USA) from 115th to 19th in the FedEx Cup standings. Brendan
Steele (USA) is the nephew of Anthony Geary, the actor who plays Luke Spencer
of General Hospital. From the sixth Major Championships he has played in
to date so far his best finish to date so far is tied for twelfth in the 2015 PGA
Championship. Let’s hope he can keep this form up in the next few events he
plays in. I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour
season.
Coming in solo fifth position at 266-22 after 72
holes was Hideki Matsuyama (Japan); he earned US $280,000 for his efforts and
moved to twelfth position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list
standings with US $353,333 earned from the two events he has played to date
this season so far. He also earned 110 FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and
moved to eleventh position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list
standings with 160 points earned from the two events he has played to date this
season so far. From the two events he has played to date this season so far he
has made two cuts and achieved one top ten finish that came this past week. He
will be happy with his four rounds this week that were all in the 60s
especially his 65-7 in the first round!! And he made twenty five birdies in the
seventy two holes against just three bogeys. He will be pleased he has got his
season off to such a good start. Hideki
Matsuyama (Japan) (松山
英樹

leading amateur and won the Silver Cup, which is presented to the lowest scoring
amateur. He was the only amateur to make the cut. A week

the Japan Tour's money list. For 2014, Hideki Matsuyama (Japan) qualified for
the USPGA Tour through non-member earnings. In just seven USPGA Tour-sanctioned
events, Hideki Matsuyama (Japan) had six top-25 finishes, including a tied for
sixth at the 2013 Open Championship. Hideki Matsuyama (Japan) earned his first USPGA
Tour win at the 2014 Memorial Tournament, beating Kevin Na (USA) in a playoff
and moving to a career-high OWGR ranking of thirteenth. The win was the first
for a Japanese player since Ryuji Imada (Japan) in 2008. Hideki Matsuyama (Japan)
would win his sixth Japan Golf Tour event late in the 2014 season. In November,
the victory came at the Dunlop Phoenix in a playoff over Hiroshi Iwata (Japan).
Hideki Matsuyama (Japan) finished fifth at the 2015 Masters Tournament, the
best major finish of his career. He also represented Team International in the
2013 and 2015 Presidents Cup against Team USA. Let’s hope he can keep this form
up in the weeks to come. I wish him all the best for the rest 2015/16 USPGA
Tour season.
Rounding out the top sixth in solo sixth position at
267-21 after seventy two holes was James Hahn (USA); he earned US $252,000 for
his efforts and moved to seventeenth position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour
Money list standings with US $273,000 earned from the two events he has played
to date this season so far. He also earned 100 FedEx Cup Points for his efforts
and moved to nineteenth position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list
standings with 127 points earned from the two events he has played to date this
season so far. He will be happy with his second, third and final rounds that
were all in the 60s especially his 64-8 in the third round which was the equal
low round of the day and was also blemish free!! But he will be just content
with his first round 70-2. And for the seventy two holes he made one eagle,
twenty three birdies against four bogeys. He will be pleased he got his season
off to such a good start coming off his career season to date on the USPGA Tour
in 2014/15. James Hahn (USA)
(born November 2, 1981) is an American professional golfer who plays on the USPGA
Tour. James Hahn (USA) was born in Seoul, South Korea. He played his college
golf at the University of California, Berkeley and turned professional after
graduating in 2003. He played on the Canadian Tour, Korean Tour and Gateway
Tour before he joined the Nationwide Tour in 2010. He finished 29th on the
Tour's money list in his rookie season after recording five top-10 finishes. On
June 4, 2012, he picked up his first win on Tour in 2012 at the Rex Hospital
Open after defeating Scott Parel (USA) in a playoff – going for the green in
two on the decisive par 5 because he had a flight to catch. He then proceeded
to board a plane to California to play in sectional qualifying for the U.S.
Open the following day. James Hahn (USA) won the event and played in his first
major at the 2012 U.S. Open. In February 2015, James Hahn (USA) won for the
first time on the USPGA Tour at the Northern Trust Open played at Riviera
Country Club. He beat Paul Casey (England) and Dustin Johnson (USA) in a
sudden-death playoff after all three players finished in a tie at six-under-par
after regulation play. After Paul Casey (England) had been eliminated on the
second extra hole, James Hahn (USA) holed a 25 foot birdie putt on the third
extra hole to edge out Dustin Johnson (USA) for the victory. The win moved
James Hahn (USA) into the top 100 in the world for the first time and earned
him entry into the 2015 Masters Tournament. James Hahn (USA) missed the cut for
the 2015 Masters tournament by one stroke, after calling an unnoticed one
stroke penalty on himself. Let’s hope James Hahn (USA) can have another career
season in the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season just as he did last season and perhaps
have his second win? I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA
Tour season.
Danny Lee (NZL) scored a poor first round of 73+1
which included a very good front nine of 34-2 which included birdies on the par
five, third hole and par three, fourth hole and then he scored a poor back nine
of 39+3 with birdies coming on the par three, fifteenth hole and par four,
sixteenth hole but he had poor bogeys on the par five, tenth hole and par
three, eleventh hole and a shocking triple bogey on the par four, thirteenth
hole and then a very good second round of 68-4 which included a very good front
nine of 33-3 with a lone birdie on the par three, eighth hole and a brilliant
eagle on the par five, third hole and a good back nine of 35-1 which included
birdies on the par four, twelfth hole and par four, fourteenth hole with his
lone bogey coming on the par three, fifteenth hole and a shocking third round where
he played the back nine in 40+4 which included a lone birdie on the par five,
tenth hole and a lone bogey on the par four, thirteenth hole and a horrific
quadruple bogey eight on the par four, sixteenth hole and withdrew from the
tournament because on an infected finger!! He earned nothing for his efforts
and is yet to earn any money on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list
standings from the one event he has played to date this season so far. He also
earned no FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and is yet to earn any points on the
current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings from the one event he has
played to date this season so far. From the one event he has played to date
this season so far he has withdrawn from one event and achieved no top ten
finishes. He will be happy with his second round 68-4 especially his front nine
33-3 which was blemish free!! But he will be mad with his first round 73+1 and
also angry with his front nine 40+4 in the third round and his infected finger
that caused him to withdraw from the tournament!! It was a poor start to the
first event of his 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and it is unclear if the injury will
affect his involvement in coming tournaments. Let’s hope he can get his health
back to 100% when he comes back to play his next tournament. I wish him all the
best for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season.
