Well it was another amazing weekend on the Major
Professional Golf Tours from around the world and this week it was the final
event of the 2015 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and it was in the State
of Georgia and it was the RSM Classic and was played on the Sea Island Resort
(Seaside), Sea Island, Georgia. It carried a huge prize purse of US
$5,700,000 for the taking. Robert Streb (USA) was the defending champion and
was keen to defend his title. Danny Lee (NZL) was sitting out this tournament
because he was playing on the Japan Tour in the Dunlop Phoenix and Tim
Wilkinson (NZL) was the only New Zealand Golfer in the field and had his third
start of the season. And it was the golfer by the name of Kevin Kisner (USA)
who scored rounds of 65-7, 67-3, 64-6 and a final round of 64-6 for a seventy
two hole total of 260-22 and he won by a huge margin of six shots for his
maiden USPGA Tour win of his career. He earned US $1,026,000 for the win and
moved to second position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings
with US $1,951,632 earned from the four events he has played to date this
season so far. Russell Knox (Scotland) still leads that list with US $2,052,160
earned from the five events he has played to date this season so far. Kevin
Kisner (USA) also earned 500 FedEx Cup points for the win and moved to the top
of the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup points list standings with 888 points earned
from the four events he has played to date this season so far and he is twelve
points ahead of Russell Knox (Scotland) who is currently in second position
with 876 points earned from the five events he has played to date this season
so far. From the four events Kevin Kisner (USA) has played to date this season
so far he has made four cuts and achieved two top ten finishes which includes
his maiden win this past week!! He will be happy with his four rounds this week
that were all in the mid to low 60s especially his consecutive 64-6s in the
third and final rounds and his 64-6 in the third round was the low round of the
day and his 64-6 in the final round was blemish free and the equal low round of
the day!! And he just played awesome golf this week with recording one eagle,
twenty two birdies and just two bogeys over the seventy two holes!! And it
proves that perseverance does pay off after having four runner up finishes in
2015 prior to this win!!
Kevin Kisner (USA) played a great final round of
64-6 after taking a three shot lead into it and it included a front nine of
30-5 with birdies on the par four, second hole, par four, fourth hole, par
four, fifth hole, par four, eighth hole and par four, ninth hole and he made
the turn at minus twenty one and was leading by six shots. Kevin Chappell (USA)
went out in 33-2 and made the turn at minus fifteen and was six shots behind
the leader. Graeme McDowell (NIR) went out in 33-2 and made the turn at minus fourteen
and was seven shots behind the leader.
Kevin Kisner (USA) played holes ten to fourteen in
even par which included making five straight pars and he remained at minus
twenty one and was still leading by six shots. Kevin Chappell (USA) played
holes ten to fourteen in even par which included making five straight pars and
he remained at minus fifteen and was still six shots behind the leader. Graeme
McDowell (NIR) played holes ten to fourteen in one under par and that included
a birdie on the par four, eleventh hole and he moved to minus fifteen and was
now only six shots behind the leader.
Kevin Kisner (USA) played holes fifteen to seventeen
in one under par and it included a birdie on the par five, fifteenth hole where
he hit the green in two shots and two putted and he moved to minus twenty two
and was now only leading by five shots heading to the par four, seventy second
hole. Kevin Chappell (USA) played holes fifteen to seventeenth in two under par
which included birdies on the par four, sixteenth hole and par three,
seventeenth hole and he moved to minus seventeen and now was only five shots
behind the leader heading to the par four, seventy second hole. Graeme McDowell
(NIR) played holes fifteen to seventeenth in even par which included a birdie on
the par five, fifteenth hole and a bogey on the par four, sixteenth hole and he
remained at minus fifteen and was now seven shots behind the leader heading to
the par five, seventy second hole.
Graeme McDowell (NIR) who was playing in the final
group with Kevin Chappell (USA) and Kevin Kisner (USA) made a solid par on the
par four, seventy second hole and finished the seventy two holes at a minus fifteen
and finished seven shots behind the winner. Kevin Chappell (USA) who was also
playing in the final group with Graeme McDowell (NIR) and Kevin Kisner (USA)
made a poor bogey on the par four, seventy second hole and finished the seventy
two holes on minus sixteen and finished six shots behind the winner.
Kevin
Kisner (USA) who was playing in the final group with Kevin Chappell (USA) and
Graeme McDowell (NIR) now stood on the par four, seventy second tee with a five
shot lead and knew that his maiden USPGA Tour win was only a few minutes away.
He struck a brilliant drive that drew from the right hand side of the fairway
to the centre. Then he played a good second shot with his mid iron into the
centre of the green thirty feet from the pin. He then enjoyed the walk up to
the green and got a standing ovation from the surrounding gallery!! His birdie
putt came up four feet short but he calmly rolled in his four foot par putt for
the win!! He scored 34-1 on his back nine and finished the seventy two holes at
minus twenty two to win by a huge margin of six shots and claim his maiden
USPGA Tour win!!
Kevin Kisner (USA) on the left picks up his young daughter, Kathleen to celebrate his win and his wife, Brittany looks on from the right!! |
He got a huge hug from his caddie, Duane Bock!! Then
as he walked off the seventy second green his young daughter, Kathleen came
running on and he picked her up and hugged her!! Then his wife, Brittany came
on and he gave her a hug and a passionate kiss to celebrate the win with him!!
Then the Tournament Host, Davis Love III (USA) shock his hand to congratulate
him on the win!! Then he was interviewed
by Golf Channel on course reporter, Steve Sands and he said to him “With Kevin
Kisner (USA) and his lovely daughter, Kate, well you have waited a long time,
and you have come so close, three playoff losses on the PGA Tour, what gave you
the belief to be able to continue on to get to this moment right now?” And
Kevin Kisner (USA) replied “Yeah, I was just playing so well all year, I knew
that one day it was going to happen, I was just going to make all the putts
coming Sunday, I did it today on the front nine, It let me kind of coast on
that back nine, what a special place to have my first win Sea Island Resort, A
great Ambassador to the game, Davis Love III (USA) and ah just to have my name
on that trophy is special to me!!” And then The Golf Channel on course
reporter, Steve Sands asked him “A lot of guys, a lot of Veterans, have been
saying you’re one of those young guys who they think would propel themselves to
this position, when you hear praise like that from contemporaries now, other
PGA Tour winners, how does that make you feel inside?” And Kevin Kisner (USA) replied “Just shows
all that hard work I have done is paying off, impressing your pairs out here is
tough, you know everyone is really good and ah we have a great group of players
and any support I get from anybody is a great attribute to what I have been
working on”. And then The Golf Channel on course reporter, Steve Sands asked
him “I lot of guys say when they get that first win it kind of opens things up
for them, what do you think happens to you and your career now you have finally
have crossed that finish line?” And Kevin Kisner (USA) replied “I don’t have to
answer that question from you anymore (Laughing), No, I hope it is just opening
the bucket and we are the flood gates are open, and we can ah, you know got to
believe you can win on Thursday and I hope this ah catapults me into believing
I that every week”. And then The Golf
Channel on course reporter, Steve Sands said to him “Congratulations Kevin!!”

Kevin Kisner
(USA) (born February 15, 1984) is an American professional golfer who plays on
the USPGA Tour. Kevin Kisner (USA) was born in Aiken, South Carolina. He played
college golf at the University of Georgia and was a member of their 2005 NCAA
Division I Championship team along with Chris Kirk (USA), Richard Scott
(Canada) and Brendon Todd (USA). After graduating in 2006, he turned
professional. Kevin Kisner (USA) played on the mini-tours (NGA Hooters Tour and
Tarheel Tour) from 2007 to 2009, winning three times. He also played in six Nationwide
Tour events in 2009. He played the Nationwide Tour full-time in 2010, winning
once at the Mylan Classic. He finished the year eleventh on the money list and
earned his 2011 USPGA Tour card. Kevin Kisner (USA) failed to earn enough money
on the USPGA Tour in 2011 to retain his card (181st on money list), but
finished tied for eleventh at qualifying school to earn his card for 2012. He
again failed to retain his card, finishing 167th on the money list, and missed
earning a card in qualifying school by one stroke. He returned to (the now
renamed) Web.com Tour in 2013 and won the Chile Classic in March. He finished thirteenth
on the 2013 Web.com Tour regular season money list to earn his 2014 USPGA Tour
card. In 2014, Kevin Kisner (USA) finished sixth at the Wells Fargo
Championship, eighth at the Wyndham Championship and ninth at the RBC Canadian
Open.
During the 2015 PGA Tour season, Kevin Kisner (USA)
finished runner-up three times, losing all three in sudden-death playoffs. He
was defeated at the 2015 RBC Heritage after losing on the second hole of the
playoff to Jim Furyk (USA). Kevin Kisner (USA) would go on to finish
tied with Sergio García (Spain) and Rickie Fowler (Spain) at The Players
Championship event in May after 72 holes, losing to Rickie Fowler (USA) on the
first hole of sudden-death after the two remained tied following a three-hole
aggregate playoff. At the Greenbrier Classic he again tied for second after
losing a sudden-death playoff, which was eventually won by Danny Lee (NZL).
Kevin Kisner (USA) was eliminated on the first extra hole with birdie. Other
notable results were finishes for fourth at the McGladrey Classic, fifth at the
Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, and eighth at the Memorial Tournament.
Kevin Kisner (USA) finished as runner-up at the WGC-HSBC Champions event in
Shanghai in November 2015, two strokes behind Russell Knox (Scotland) despite
holding the 36-hole lead. This was Kevin Kisner's (USA) fourth runner-up finish
of the 2015 calendar year. On November 22, 2015, Kevin Kisner (USA) earned his
first USPGA Tour victory by winning the RSM Classic, his 109th USPGA Tour
start. It was great to see Kevin Kisner (USA) get his maiden USPGA Tour win
after coming so agonizingly close in 2015. I feel in the 2016 part of the
2015/16 USPGA Tour season he will have a great chance to get his second USPGA
Tour win and perform well in the four Major Championships. And I feel he could
also make his maiden US Ryder Cup team appearance for Team USA. I wish him all
the best for the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup.
Coming in solo second at 266-16 after seventy two
holes was Kevin Chappell (USA); he earned US $615,600 for his efforts and moved
to eleventh position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings
with US $673,676 earned from the four events he has played to date this season
so far. He also earned 300 FedEx Cup points for his efforts and moved to tenth
position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings with 347 points
earned from the four events he has played to date this season so far. From the
four events he has played to date this season so far he has made three cuts and
achieved one top ten finish that came this week. He will be happy with his four
rounds this week that were all in the 60s especially his 65-5 in the second
round that was the equal low round of the day!! And he will just have to admit
to himself it was just Kevin Kisner (USA) time to win. But he will be very
happy with his position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup points list heading
into the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup!! Kevin Alan Chappell (USA) (born July
8, 1986) is an American professional golfer who is currently playing on the USPGA
Tour. Kevin Chappell (USA) was born in Fresno, California. He attended the University
of California, Los Angeles where he won the Jack Nicklaus Award as the
collegiate player of the year in 2008. He also won the Arnold Palmer Award for claiming
the NCAA championship. He was a PING first-team All-American and Pac-10 golfer
of the year in 2008 after winning three collegiate titles and held the UCLA
single season scoring record. He was a three-time PING All-American selection.
He was ranked the third best amateur in world golf at the end of the 2008
season. Kevin Chappell (USA) represented the United States as a member of the
championship team at the 2004 Junior World Team Championship and the 2007 Fuji
Xerox USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship. He was also a member of the
2008 U.S Palmer Cup team. Kevin Chappell (USA) turned professional the day
after the 2008 Palmer Cup and has played mainly on the Nationwide Tour trying
to earn enough money to gain status on Tour. A stand out result early in his
career on the USPGA Tour was at the 2008 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am
where he finished tied for sixth. Kevin Chappell (USA) won his first
professional event at the 2010 Fresh Express Classic at TPC Stonebrae on the
Nationwide Tour, winning by one stroke over David Hearn (Canada) after a final
round of 65. He finished the year ninth on the money list and earned his 2011 USPGA
Tour card.
At the 2011 Valero Texas Open, Kevin Chappell (USA)
finished tied for second behind Brendan Steele (USA) after a bogey on the 17th
hole put him one stroke behind. This was Kevin Chappell's (USA) best ever
career finish on the USPGA Tour (Until this week). In 2011, he also qualified
for the U.S. Open, his first ever major championship appearance and shot a 66
on Sunday to finish in a tie for third place and ensure himself of entry into
the 2012 U.S. Open and Masters Tournament. Kevin Chappell (USA) finished tied
for tenth at his second consecutive U.S. Open in 2012; it was his only top-10
finish of 2012 and he finished the season 125th on the money list, earning the
last available Tour card based on season earnings. He has also achieved two top
ten finishes in Major Championships and they were tied for third position at
the 2011 U.S. Open Championship and tied for tenth at the 2012 U.S. Open
Championship. Let’s hope he can keep this form up for the 2016 part of the
2015/16 USPGA Tour season and perhaps achieving his maiden USPGA Tour win. I wish
him all the best for the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour Season.
Coming in solo fourth position at 269-13 after seventy two holes was Jon Curran (USA); he earned US $273,600 for his efforts and moved to thirty third position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $332,047 earned from the five events he has played to date this season so far. He also earned 135 FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and moved to twenty second position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings with 192 points earned from the five events he has played to date this season so far. From the five events he has played to date this season so far he has made three cuts and achieved one top ten finish that came this past week. He will be happy with his first, third and final rounds that were all in the mid 60s especially his third and fourth rounds that were consecutive 66-4s!! But he will be just content with his 70-2 in the second round. But it was great to see him have a top five finish such early on in the season!! Jonathan Curran (USA) (born February 17, 1987) is an American professional golfer. Jon Curran (USA) was born in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. He played college golf at Vanderbilt University. Jon Curran (USA) turned professional in 2009. He played on the NGA Pro Golf Tour in 2013, winning one event and topping the money list. Jon Curran (USA) began playing on the Web.com Tour in 2014 and won his third event of the year, the Brasil Champions. He finished twelfth on the 2014 Web.com Tour regular-season money list, earning a USPGA Tour card for the 2014–15 season. Jon Curran's (USA) best USPGA Tour finish is a playoff loss at the 2015 Puerto Rico Open, where he lost to the golfer he beat while on the Web.com Tour, Alex Čejka (Germany). Let’s hope he can carry this form into the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup. I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup.
Coming solo fifth position at 270-12 after seventy two holes was Freddie Jacobson (Sweden); he earned US $228,000 for his efforts and moved to twenty fifth position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $355,970 earned from the five events he has played to date this season so far. He also earned 110 FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and moved to nineteenth position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings with 196 points earned from the five events he has played to date this season so far. From the five events he has played to date this season so far he has made four cuts and achieved one top ten finish that came this past week. He will be happy with his first, second and final rounds that were all in the mid 60s especially his first round 65-5 which was blemish free!! But he will be disappointed with his third round 71+1. He will be pleased with this top five finish and that he has got his season off to such a good start heading into the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season. Fredrik Ulf Yngve Jacobson (Sweden) (born 26 September 1974) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the USPGA Tour and formerly the European Tour Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) was born in Kungsbacka. He turned professional in 1994 and was a member of the European Tour in 1995 and from 1997 to 2004. In 2003 he won his first European Tour title, and went on to claim two more victories that season. His fourth place finish on the Order of Merit that year equalled Anders Forsbrand's (Sweden) Swedish record set in 1992, and was the first Swede to win three official money events in one season on the European Tour. In 2004, he joined the USPGA Tour. In 2003 Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) was the top scorer in the Seve Trophy, collecting four and a half points out of five. In 2004 he just missed out on a Ryder Cup place, finishing one place short in both the European Tour rankings and the world ranking points rankings, and not being selected as a captain's pick. Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) won his first USPGA Tour title in 2011 at the Travelers Championship. He beat Ryan Moore (USA), who missed a short four footer at the 72nd hole which would have gotten him into a playoff with Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden), but instead settled for a tie with John Rollins (USA) one shot behind. During the week, Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) went 63 holes bogey-free until the difficult par four, tenth hole on Sunday where he made a bogey five. He hit 100% of the fairways during rounds three and four.
In November 2011, Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) had his best finish ever in a World Golf Championship event when he finished solo second at the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, China. Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) had led the tournament after rounds two and three and entered the final round with a two stroke advantage over Louis Oosthuizen (RSA). However it was a final round surge from Martin Kaymer (Germany) that denied Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden), the German firing nine birdies on the day to post a 63. Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) could only record a 71 to fall short by three strokes. At the 2013 Northern Trust Open, Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) had a chance to win his second USPGA Tour title when he birdied the 15th and 16th holes in the final round to tie the lead. He then missed a short birdie putt at the 17th to take the outright lead. On the 72nd hole, Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) missed a five-foot par putt, which left him one shot outside of the playoff. Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) has been featured in the top twenty of the Official World Golf Rankings. Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) cut his 2014-15 USPGA Tour season short after the Crowne Plaza Invitational to care for his son Max, who underwent open-heart surgery. The USPGA Tour granted Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) a medical extension under the family crisis provision. Fredrik Jacobson (Sweden) fulfilled his medical extension with a fifth place finish at the RSM Classic (As I mentioned above). He has also achieved two top ten finishes in Major Championships with them coming in back to back starts with tied for fifth at the 2003 US Open Championship and tied for sixth at the 2003 Open Championship. He has also achieved three top ten finishes in WGC – Events with his best finishes being solo second at the 2011 WGC – HSBC Champions. He has also represented Sweden in the 2003 and 2004 WGC – World Cup of Golf. And he represented Continental Europe at the 2003 Seve Trophy. I wish him all the best for the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup and also his Family to have good health!!

From the four events he has played to date this season so far he has made three cuts and achieved two top ten finishes which includes the one this past week. He will be happy with his first, second and third rounds this week that were there consecutive 67s!! But just content with his final round 70 even par. But he will be very pleased with how he has started his 2015/16 USPGA Tour season after achieving his maiden win on the USPGA Tour last season at the Puerto Rico Open!! Alexander Čejka (Germany) (born 2 December 1970) is a Czech/German professional golfer. Alexander Čejka (Germany) was born in Mariánské Lázně, Czechoslovakia. Let’s hope he can achieve his second USPGA Tour win in the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season. I wish him all the best for the rest 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup.
Also tied for sixth position was Russell Henley (USA); he too earned US $190,950 for his efforts and moved to twenty first position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $384,750 earned from the three events he has played to date this season so far. He also earned 92 FedEx Points for his efforts and moved to twentieth position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points standings list with 194 points earned from the three events he has played to date this season so far. From the three events he has played to date this season so far he has made three cuts and achieved two top ten finishes which includes the one this week. But he will be just content with his second round even par seventy two. It is good to see him get his 2015/16 season off to such a good start. He finished at 24-under-par, 256, breaking by four shots the Sony Open scoring record. The win gave Russell Henley (USA) an invitation to the 2013 Masters Tournament and the PGA Championship. On March 2, 2014, Russell Henley (USA) won his second USPGA Tour title at the Honda Classic. In difficult conditions on Sunday, Russell Henley (USA) shot a two-over-par round of 72 to make it into a four-man playoff with Russell Knox (Scotland), Rory McIlroy (NIR) and Ryan Palmer (USA). He climbed into the world's top fifty as a result of this win and qualified for the 2014 Masters Tournament. He is yet to achieve a top ten finish in a Major Championship with his best finish to date being tied for twelfth in 2015 PGA Championship. The final player to tied for sixth position was Jeff Overton (USA); he too earned US $190,950 for his efforts and moved to fifty third position on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $214,995 earned from the five events he has played to date this season so far. He also earned 92 FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and moved to sixtieth position on the current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings with 118 points earned from the five events he has played to date this season so far. From the five events he has played to date this season so far he has made three cuts and achieved one top ten finish that came this past week. He will be happy with his first, third and final rounds that were all in the 60s especially his first round 64-6 that saw him tied for the lead!! But just content with his second round 72 even par. But it was good to see him have a top ten finish after missing his first two cuts to start the season and having two top fifty five finishes in his next two starts. Jeffrey Laurence Overton (USA) (born May 28, 1983) is an American professional golfer.
Jeff Overton (USA) was born in Evansville, Indiana; he graduated from Evansville North High School, leading the Huskies to two State Golf Finals; he finished as State Runner-Up in 1999 (as a sophomore) and then led the Huskies to the State Championship in 2000 as a Junior. He attended Indiana University, graduating in 2005 with a degree in Sports Marketing and Management. Turning pro in 2005, he is currently a member of the USPGA Tour. He graduated from Q-School in his first attempt and started to play on the Tour in 2006. In 2006, he scored a double eagle (albatross) on the eighteenth hole at Westchester Country Club during the Barclays Classic as he holed a fairway wood from 239 yards after a 294-yard drive. During the final USPGA Tour event of 2008, the Children's Miracle Network Classic, Jeff Overton (USA) was ten days removed from an appendectomy and was ranked 125th, barely hanging on to a full-season exemption. A 21st-place finish moved him up to 118th and he retained his card for 2009. After improving to 76th in 2009, Jeff Overton's (USA) 2010 season included three seconds, two thirds, and eleventh at the 2010 Open Championship. He ended 2010 in twelfth place on the USPGA Tour money list. His best finish on Tour are four 2nd-place finishes; in 2007, he tied for second at the Wyndham Championship, and in 2010, he finished second at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the HP Byron Nelson Championship and the inaugural Greenbrier Classic. In the Greenbrier, he held a three-shot lead after 54 holes but could not withstand an amazing fourth round by Stuart Appleby (Australia), who shot a round of 59 to win his ninth USPGA Tour event. Following this tournament Jeff Overton (USA) reached the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings for the first time. His strong 2010 season earned him a place on the United States Ryder Cup team; he and teammate Rickie Fowler (USA) became the first-ever Americans to make the team without a victory on the USPGA Tour. In 2015, Jeff Overton (USA) barely retained his USPGA Tour card, finishing 125th position in the FedEx Cup. Let’s hope he can carry this form into the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup. I wish him all the best for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup.
Tim Wilkinson (NZL) who recently regained his
2015/16 USPGA Tour card at the Web.com Tour Finals was the only New Zealand
Golfer in the field and was keen to have a good tournament to back up his good
performances at the Sanderson Farms Championship two weeks ago and the week
before at the OHL Mayakoba classic. He scored a good first round of 71-1 which
included a very good front nine of 34-2 with birdies coming on the par four, first
hole, and par four, fifth hole and a poor back nine of 37+1 with a lone birdie
on the par four, tenth hole but he had poor bogeys on the par four, fourteenth
hole and par five, eighteenth hole and a brilliant second round of 65-5 which
was blemish free and the equal low round of the day which included a very good
front nine of 32-3 which included birdies on the par three, third hole, par
four, fourth hole and par four, ninth hole and then he scored a very good back
nine of 33-2 with birdies on the par four, eleventh hole and par five, fifteenth
hole and a poor third round of 71+1 which included a poor front nine of 36+1
with his lone birdie coming on the par four, fourth hole but he had poor bogeys
on the par four, first hole and par four, ninth hole and then an average back
nine of 35 even par with a lone birdie coming on the par four, eighteenth hole
but he had a poor lone bogey on the par three, twelfth hole and a good final
round of 69-1 which included a poor front nine of 36+1 which included a poor
lone bogey on the par four, fifth hole and then he scored a very good back nine
of 33-2 with birdies coming on the par five, fifteenth hole and par four,
sixteenth hole for a seventy two hole total of 276-6 and finished in tied for forty
fourth position and earned US $16,473 for efforts. He moved to 114th position
on the current 2015/16 USPGA Tour Money list standings with US $70,891 earned
from the three events he has played to date this season so far. He also earned twenty
four FedEx Cup Points for his efforts and moved to ninety sixth position on the
current 2015/16 FedEx Cup Points list standings with seventy eight points
earned from the three events he has played in to date so far. From the three
events he has played to date this season so far he has made three cuts and
achieved no top ten finishes. He will be happy with his first, second and final
rounds this week that were all under par especially his second round that was
65-5 and was blemish free and the equal low round of the day!! But disappointed
with his third round 71+1. And it is good to see him make all three cuts in his
three events of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season. Let’s hope he can continue this
form on in the 2016 part of 2015/16 USPGA Tour season. His next event will
likely be the Sony Open in Hawaii in Mid January which is the first regular
season event of the 2016 part of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour and FedEx Cup. I wish
him all the best for the rest of the 2015/16 USPGA Tour season.
The 2015/16 USPGA Tour and FedEx Cup now takes a
seven week break before it recommences on Thursday 7th January for the 2016
part of the 2015/15 USPGA Tour season and FedEx Cup in the State of Hawaii. And
it is the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and is played on the Plantation
Course at Kapalua, Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii. It carries a huge prize
purse of US $5,900,000 for the taking. And the only way to earn an invite to
compete in it is to have won a USPGA Tour event from the 2015 Hyundai
Tournament of Champions to the 2015 The RSM Classic. Patrick Reed (USA) is the
defending champion and will be keen to defend his title. Danny Lee (NZL) also
gets his first start in this tournament because he won the 2015 The Greenbrier
Classic. It starts on Thursday 7th January 2016. I will report back who won the
trophy once the result comes to hand.

fairways, greens and making lots of putts is the secret to getting low scores!!
